Dubrovnik yacht charters
When planning a yacht charter to Croatia, be sure tour the city of Dubrovnik. This ancient city, known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich culture and history. Located in the southern portion of the country, Dubrovnik has many interesting sites to see, from the Big Fountain of Ononfrio to the ancient forts and cathedrals to the city walls. However, the best retreat in Dubrovnik is actually out in the Adriatic Sea: the Elaphite Islands.

The Elaphite Islands are the epitome of natural beauty and tranquil escape. The group of islands consists of eight islands, of which only three are inhabited, along with five islets and many rocks and reefs. The main islands are Kolocep, Lopud, and Sipan, although tourists enjoy taking a yacht charter to discover one of the secluded islands and make it all their own for a day. Watching the sunset from the Elaphite Islands is a unique experience that offers a view like none other. As the sun drops behind the Dubrovnik hills, the sky changes from bright orange and red to a pastel purple before relaxing into a deep cobalt blue as the stars begin to appear.
You can reach the Elaphite Islands by sailing from the Port of Gruz, Dubrovnik’s biggest port, to Kolocep. It is only a twenty minute trip to this island, the smallest of the three inhabited islands, and the closest one to the city. It has verdant forests and an unspoiled beauty. Lopud is slightly larger than Kolocep, and popular for its beautiful sandy beach at Sunj Bay. The fertile soil yields vineyards, citrus fruit, and olives. The largest and most popular of the Elaphite Islands is Sipan. This island has two villages, Sipanska Luka and Sudurad, with a road connecting the two. Many yacht charters visit this island, which is famous for its wine.
The peaceful atmosphere and striking natural beauty make the Elaphite Islands a popular stop on a yacht charter to Croatia.
