Pula yacht charters
Istria, Croatia is dominated by a long coastline, rolling hills, and mild climate, and while you might be tempted to explore all of the aspects of this rocky coast, you would truly be missing out if you do not visit the city of Pula. Unlike many other yacht charter destinations, Pula lives beyond its tourist industry to thrive on its own merits.
With a background as a Roman headquarters and an Austro-Hungarian naval port, modern day Pula is a thriving ship-building center. The historic center of town functions as many towns do – concentrating on business, government, and commerce with events at the Roman amphitheater drawing in locals and tourists alike. During summer months, the amphitheater (called the Arena by the locals) offers regular open-air performances that will certainly not disappoint.

The beach on Verudela peninsula is a great place for yacht charter guests to unwind or go swimming. Nearby are a variety of restaurants and night clubs which fill with locals and tourists alike.
Other Pula sites we recommend our charter guests to visit:
Archaeological Museum of Istria: Prehistoric objects, Roman monuments, and collections from the Middle ages are on display in this museum.
Cathedral of the Assumption: This ancient cathedral boasts sections dating back to the 4 th century. Originally build on a Roman temple foundation, this structure has been reconstructed numerous times.
Franciscan Church and Monastery: This Gothic-style church was constructed during the end of the 13 th century.
Hercules’ Gate: The town’s oldest gate dates back to the middle of the first century.
Temple of Augustus: Built to honor the first Roman emperor, this structure was formerly a church and at one point it was a storehouse for grains. Today the exquisite temple houses a collection of Roman sculpture.
Triumphal Arch of the Sergi: Also known as the Golden Gate, this arch was built in the 1 st century BC. Salvia Postuma Sergi used her own money to have the arch constructed to honor three of her sons who were killed in the battle of Actium.
This buzzing town with amazing history is a popular stop for yacht charters in Croatia.
